ALL GRADUATES Glenn County Chapter of the Association of California School Administrators: Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to any graduating Glenn County high school student who has a career goal in education. Glenn County Scholarship Foundation Scholarship: A $200 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduate from each of the five Glenn County high schools. Glenn Chapter of the Chico Board of Realtors Assoc: A $500 scholarship for a graduate of each of the 5 Glenn County high schools who has a career goal in Business or real estate field and who has not received numerous other scholarships. Glenn-Colusa Wool Growers: A $500 scholarship for a graduate of any Glenn County high school that is high achieving and has a career goal in agriculture/agriculture education. Priority is given to a student whose family is a member of the Glenn-Colusa Wool Growers and GPA 3.25. Johns Manville Scholarship: The Johns Manville, Inc., manufacturer of quality insulation and a major employer of Glenn County, sponsors five (4) $1000 scholarships: One $1000 for OHS, one $1000 for WHS, one $1000 for HHS, and one $1000 for Elk Creek, Wm. Finch and Princeton. The scholarship will go to the student who demonstrates financial need, high involvement in extracurricular activities, community and school involvement, and 3.0 GPA. Westside Anglers: A $500 scholarship for two graduates of any Glenn County high school student with a career goal in any combination of Agriculture, Farming, Biology, and Wild Life Management. Willows Kiwanis: A $2000 scholarship ($500 each semester) for a Wm. Finch graduate with community service and a 3.50 GPA. CSEA Westside Chapter 718: A $100 scholarship will be awarded to a deserving graduate from any Glenn County High School who has a career goal in either: paraprofessional positions, classified school positions, classified employee positions (outside of the education field) or vocational/trade school. Willows Car and Bike Show: 3 $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors from any of the (5) high schools in Glenn County. Two (2) letters of recommendation-One (1) from an educator, one (1) from a non-school community member (neither should be from a relative). A typed essay why you feel you should be selected; your plans and goals after you complete your educations, and what its attainment will mean to your community/society.

ELK CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

Elk Creek Grange #441 Scholarship: This $300 scholarship will be presented to an Elk Creek graduate who has a career goal in agriculture. Chad Langford Memorial Scholarship: A $500 scholarship for an Elk Creek High graduate demonstrating financial need. Stonyford Grange Scholarship: A $300 book scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of Elk Creek High School. Priority will be given to a student who resides in Stonyford or Lodoga. Willows Rotary Scholarship: Four $1,000 scholarships for a student in each of the four high schools in the Willows Rotary Service Area (Willows, Princeton, Elk Creek, Wm. Finch) who demonstrate: 1) a 3.0 GPA and high financial need, 2) a 3.0 GPA and achievement in leadership, 3) a 2.5 GPA and a career goal in a vocational area, 4) a student having high achievement 3.5 GPA.

HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL

Lake Community Club Scholarship: A $300 scholarship for a graduate of Hamilton High or Orland High School who is also an eighth grade graduate of Lake Elementary, has high achievement and has demonstrated outstanding leadership, citizenship and participation. Wilfred L. Karrer Scholarship: A scholarship (Interest) for a graduate from Hamilton High School who is an outstanding scholar. ($1000 this year) Capay Farms Scholarship: A $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduate boy and girl of Hamilton High School. The students must have a 3.5 GPA, and must have participated in athletics. Financial need is not a consideration. Leroy Dean Memorial Fund: A $200 scholarship for a graduate of Hamilton High school who is also an eighth grade graduate of Lake Elementary school, with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Glenn County Peace Officers: A $500 to a student going into law enforcement with a GPA of 3.0.

ORLAND HIGH SCHOOL

Lake Community Club Scholarship: A $300 scholarship for a graduate of Hamilton High or Orland High School who is also an eighth grade graduate of Lake Elementary, has high achievement and has demonstrated outstanding leadership, citizenship and participation. Burger King Scholarship: A $200 scholarship for an Orland High graduate who demonstrates financial need. David Altman, DDS Scholarship: A $100 scholarship for a graduate of Orland High School graduate who demonstrates financial need. Irvine and Yvonne Finch Memorial Scholarship: A $1,000 scholarship will be given to an Orland High School graduate demonstrating financial need and who has a strong community service or work experience. Orland Womans Improvement Club: An $800 scholarship will be given to an Orland or Wm. Finch graduate(s) who demonstrate strength of character and citizenship, and excels in academic achievement. Glenn County Peace Officers: A $500 to a student going into law enforcement with a GPA of 3.0.

PRINCETON HIGH SCHOOL

Willows Rotary Scholarship: Four $1,000 scholarships for a student in each of the high schools in the Willows Rotary Service Area (Willows, Princeton, Elk Creek, Wm. Finch) who demonstrate: 1) a 3.0 GPA and high financial need, 2) a 3.0 GPA and achievement in leadership, 3) a 2.5 GPA and a career goal in a vocational area, 4) a student having high achievement 3.5 GPA.

WILLOWS HIGH SCHOOL Paul Carlson Memorial Scholarship: A $250 scholarship for a Willows High graduate who has demonstrated high achievement and has a career goal that includes obtaining a bachelor’s degree in math, physics or engineering.

Willows U.M.C. Memorial Scholarship: A $500 scholarship for a Willows High School graduate whose family has had an association or affiliation with the Willows United Methodist Church of Willows.

Burger King Scholarship: A $200 scholarship for a graduate of Willows High who demonstrates financial need.

Willows Odd Fellows Scholarship: Two $1,000 scholarships for graduates from Willows High School, the recipients need to have demonstrated 1) a commitment toward completing a definite educational goal beyond high school, 2) a “B” average during high school, and 3) a financial need.

Willows Rotary Scholarship: Four $1,000 scholarships for a student in each of the high schools in the Willows Rotary Service Area (Willows, Princeton, Elk Creek, Wm. Finch) who demonstrate: 1) a 3.0 GPA and high financial need, 2) a 3.0 GPA and achievement in leadership, 3) a 2.5 GPA and a career goal in a vocational area, 4) a student having high achievement 3.5 GPA.

Lillian Beane Scholarship: A $300 scholarship for a Willows High graduate who has good humanitarian traits and demonstrates financial need.

Bill Baber in memory of Suzanne LaForce Baber and W. H. Baber, Jr. Scholarship: A $400 scholarship will be awarded to a Willows High school graduate with at least a 3.5 GPA who has a career goal in agriculture and combine scholarship with sports and good community/family support.

Class of 1940: A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Willows High School graduate who is planning to pursue an academic course of study, has a minimum GPA of 2.5 and show significant financial need. Addendum History: The Glenn County High School Class of 1940, with 60 graduating seniors, started this scholarship in 1981 with the desire to “help those graduating seniors who want to help themselves” by furthering their education. At this time the scholarship will remain active until the year 2020.

Willows Kiwanis: A $2000 scholarship ($500 each semester) for a Willows High School graduate with community service and a 3.50 GPA.

Thomas Iverson, DDS, Dentistry Scholarship: A $100 scholarship for a Willows High School graduate with a career goal in health/dentistry.

Glenn County Peace Officers: A $500 to a student going into law enforcement with a GPA of 3.0.
