About the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS) The Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), headquartered at Fort Belvoir in the DC area, plays a major role in the Army’s technological transformation, providing enterprise information technology (IT) and communications systems to Soldiers, quickly and cost effectively. PEO EIS is a leader in systems acquisition, development, and integration of IT products and services. With more than 40 project/ product offices and 120 systems and products, the PEO EIS portfolio includes finance, logistics, personnel, infrastructure, communications, transportation, biometrics, medical and war-fighting systems. With a workforce of more than 2,500 military, civilian and contractor personnel, PEO EIS executes approximately $4Billion a year, the equivalent of 56% of the Army’s IT budget. PEO EIS headquarters is located at Fort Belvoir, VA; project offices are located in Arizona, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia; and field offices are located in Germany, Hawaii, Korea, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Student Intern Program The Student Intern Program allows college students to work toward their career goals in their selected field of study. This program offers flexible schedules and yearround employment while gaining exposure to work in the Federal government. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits at a college or university and work a minimum of 16 hours a week at PEO EIS. Students are eligible for federal benefits prorated based upon their schedule. Students should work with their school career counselors to investigate participation in the Student Intern Program. Note: If you are not a veteran or do not have government experience, you are eligible to apply to Direct Examining Unit (DEU) job announcements. These jobs are open to “all status” candidates. Army announcements end with a “D.” In addition, the Army sponsors a variety of intern programs for college graduates.
