THIRD IBD-AMC MASTERCLASS

12 DECEMBER 2014 09.00 – 16.00 HRS AMC AMSTERDAM WWW.IBD-AMC.NL

TREATMENT TARGETS AND ALGORITHMIC CARE PATHS IN IBD

JOIN US AT THE THIRD IBD-AMC MASTERCLASS Introduction The management of inflammatory bowel disease has shifted from treatment of symptoms towards treatment of the (mucosal) disease. The debate about the ideal ‘treatment targets’ when using this approach is ongoing and many different opinions circulate. The same applies to a number of specific situations in IBD (postoperative Crohn’s disease, perianal fistulas, severe acute ulcerative colitis, pouchitis) where ‘algorithmic care paths’ should lead to improved outcome. These care paths could be incorporated in a more comprehensive ‘quality of care’ plan for inflammatory bowel disease. The IBD staff of the AMC and the IBD Network Amsterdam (INA) wishes to contribute to the debate with yet another masterclass where these evolving concepts are critically reviewed and discussed. We are fortunate that Prof. Julian Panes (Barcelona), Prof. Gert Van Assche (Leuven) and Dr Krisztina Gecse (Budapest) will join us for this event. We hope to welcome you for this fascinating masterclass! Chair: Prof. Dr Geert D’Haens (IBD, AMC, Amsterdam)
