Sapienza Summer School (English-taught course) Prof. Lucilla Anselmino Prof. Nunzio Allocca Faculty of Humanities The course, addressed to foreign students, is dedicated to Italian language and culture. It consists of two independent parallel courses, taught in English and in Italian, both with a final assessment test. The Summer School exploits the extraordinary cultural heritage of Rome and its surrounding territory, and will consist of a series of conferences, language and cultural courses, as well as guided visits to the most important artistic and monumental sites of the city. Foreign students The course is open to foreign students holding a secondary school diploma or an equivalent qualification earned abroad and/or enrolled in a University course. Documentation should be presented in one of the main European languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Portuguese) Faculty of Humanities Monday to Friday, 9am-1pm; 3.30pm-6.30pm July 6th -18th, 2015 100 hours ( 75% of attendance is required to receive the certificate of attendance and 4 ECTS credits) Academics of the Faculty of Humanities and members of the following Scientific Committee: Nunzio Allocca Lucilla Anselmino Claudia Cieri Via Francesco De Renzo Giovannella Desideri Paola Giunchi Sabine Koesters Federico Masini Ugo Rubeo

Callisto – Pantheon, Navona Square, Church of St. Luigi dei Francesi

– Palazzo Massimo Museum and Church of St. Maria degli Angeli – St. Peter’s Basilica and Castel S. Angelo – Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel – Capitoline Hill, Jewish Ghetto and Tiber Island – Galleria Borghese and Borghese Park – MAXXI (National Museum of 21st Century Arts), Auditorium, Bridge of Music Other itineraries and cultural events will be suggested for the weekend and for the late afternoon/evening
