What is The Future Horizons Programme ? • • • • • •
Non Military run programme – 1 year trial ** Funded by FIMT Open to ESLs from ITC and Catterick Garrison Opt In for continued support after discharge Assisting transition – COBSEO objectives Partnership model - COBSEO members, commercial Welfare to Work companies and other 3rd sector organisations • Focussed on supporting ESLs into employment
What is The Future Horizons Programme ? • Based in Hook Coy – linked into the existing process • Two Advisors – interview ESLs pre-discharge – Assessment of needs – Registered on the systems – Allocated to a Specialist Employment Consultant (SEC)
• Central Employment Team track progress • 3 Stages to the programme: – No help required – Standard job finding support – More complex support needs
• Various evaluation strands being measured • 12 month report delivered in April 2013
