What the consultation told us  

Widespread support for the general priorities A greater priority for improved community support services for people living at home (including intermediate care) More detail on how progress will be monitored and reported More emphasis on how joint commissioning will work in practice More focus on the timing of improvements within the pathway The need for a personalised service More clarity about the financial profile

Professional & public awareness improvements ‘Memory treatment' services operating in each locality Primary care link worker for older people pilot Dementia Advisor pilot across all Norfolk localities Draft Carers strategy consistent with joint Norfolk dementia strategy Each Acute General Hospital has a nominated lead clinician for dementia

‘This is me’ booklets are being used Mental health liaison nurses in acute settings Protected meal times on all wards Workshops for Care Home Managers across all sectors Reduction in the use of anti-psychotic drugs in Care Homes NWMH NHS FT established in-reach support to Care Homes SWIFT workforce development plan project for MH including dementia
