Keywords: DM tipe II, Kadar Glukosa Darah, Kadar trigliserida  Latar Belakang: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) merupakan suatu penyakit metabolik penyebab  kematian terbesar keempat di dunia. Indonesia memiliki jumlah penderita DM tipe II mencapai  90% kasus DM. Laporan American Diabetes Association (ADA) dalam sebuah penelitian, pada  pasien DM tipe II ditemukan adanya peningkatan kadar trigliserida di dalam darah.  Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan peningkatan kadar glukosa darah dengan peningkatan kadar  trigliserida pada pasien DM tipe II.  Metode & Sampel: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi analitik dengan pendekatan  cross sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah 105 orang pasien rawat jalan yang di diagnosa DM tipe  II dengan kriteria telah diperiksa kadar lipid darah, belum pernah mendapat terapi dislipidemia  dan pasien dengan diagnosa DM tipe II tanpa penyakit penyerta sindroma nefrotik dan GGK.  Analisa data menggunakan uji Chi­Square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%.  Hasil & Pembahasan: Hasil uji Chi­Square menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara peningkatan  kadar glukosa darah dengan peningkatan kadar trigliserida pada pasien rawat jalan DM tipe II  yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai signifikan (p) 0,001. Hal ini sesuai dengan pernyataan Feldman  (2009) bahwa pada pasien DM tipe II ditemukan adanya peningkatan kadar trigliserida di dalam  darah. Selain itu menurut Kusumawardani (2007) adanya akumulasi berlebihan kadar trigliserida  dalam darah ini terkait dengan kenaikan berat badan dan diabetes tidak terkontrol.  Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan bermakna antara peningkatan kadar glukosa darah dengan  peningkatan kadar trigliserida pada pasien rawat jalan DM tipe II. 

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic syndrome that cause of the fourth largest  mortality in the world. Indonesia has 90% a number of patients with Diabetes Mellitus type II  from DM cases. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) reports in a study that patients with  Diabetes Mellitus type II have found an increase of triglycerides level in the blood.  Objective: To know the correlation of blood glucose rising level with blood triglycerides rising  level at the patient with Diabetes Mellitus type II.  Research Method: This study is observational analytic with the cross sectional approach, with a  sample of 105 ambulatory patients, which diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus type II, the criteria  is patients who have already examined of the lipids profile test, patients who have never gotten a  dyslipidemia therapy, patients with DM type II who do not have nephrotic syndrome and a  history of CRF. The data analysis performed using Chi Square test with 95% degree of  credibility and the risk of 5%.  Result and Discussion: Based on the results of testing the value of Chi Square test is the  correlation of blood glucose rising level with blood triglycerides rising level at the ambulatory

patient with Diabetes Mellitus Type II is a significant (p= 0,001). According to the Feldman’s  statement (2009) that patients with Diabetes Mellitus type II have found an increase of  triglycerides level in the blood. Besides that, according to the Kusumawardani’s statement  (2007) that the excessive accumulation of triglycerides levels in the blood are associated with  weight gain and uncontrolled diabetes.  Conclusion: There is a significant correlation of blood glucose rising level with blood  triglycerides rising level at the Ambulatory patient with Diabetes Mellitus Type II.
