Q: When should I use FindMore? How does it compare to specialized databases?

A: The main strength of FindMore:  

They may include results not found in FindMore They provide more focused results. 42

Suggested search topics 1. Discuss the ways in which globalization affects family life and structure?

6. For better or for worse? Young adults’ perceptions on marriage and social well-being.

2. “Choosing a life-partner and getting married is a private and personal choice.” Discuss from the sociological perspective.

7. Unpaid work, such as caring for children and housework, is often the women’s responsibility. Why?

3. Single mum versus single dad! Who makes a better a parent?

8. Assortative mating and marital quality.

4. Asian values and the state of the Singapore family.

9. What can the state do to bring about higher rates of marriage and childbearing?

5. Explain how advances in technology affect all or any of the aspects of family life and structure?

10. Marriage has changed from an “institution” to a “companionship”. 43
