About Ray Charles Ray Charles is extremely famous. He may have been blind but he made great music. One of his best selling records were “Hit the road jack.” Charles made movies with other people acting as him instead of him being in the movie himself. He usually made over 20 million dollars.

Early childhood Ray Charles had a horrible childhood. He was born in September 23,1930. At age five he began to lose sight. By age seven he was blind, but even though he was blind, people paid more attention to him. He was paid more attention to because he made great music while blind. He went to Augustine school since he was blind. If he didn’t make such good music he would have been beat up already.

Famous Family Hobbies These are their hobbies Lots of Charles family had the same hobbies. Those hobbies were playing chess, having family reunions, and traveling to concerts. But Ray Charles wanted to make music for a change.

Death Ray Charles died on June 10, 2004. He died from liver cancer. I was very sad when I heard he had died.
