Once inside a course, you can browse the x-book content by clicking on the x-book tab.

While viewing content, you can select text and add notes to guide your students’ reading.

When adding content, you can either compose a page within the x-book or you can upload a file into a document collection.

To assign content, select “assign” from the gear menu. Select the checkboxes next to each section of the book or activity you want to include in your assignment. Title the assignment, select a due date, and add instructions for your students. Click “done” to save your assignment. Note that you can edit it from the assignment center.

The assignment center collects your assignments and summarizes your students’ progress.  A filled in circle means your students have completed the assignment.  A half-filled circle means your students have started, but not completed, the assignment.  An empty circle means your students have not started the assignment yet. Click on the “details” for any assignment to view individual students’ activity.

When you are ready to have your students join your x-book course, click to activate it. Fill in the fields for your school, the academic term, your name, your course title, and other particulars. Click the submit button.
