St. Baldrick’s signature head-shaving events began as a challenge between 3 friends and have grown from 1 event in 2000 to more than 1,300 events in 2012

More than 56,240 shavees got bald in 2012

Since 2007: More than 10,850 barbers have volunteered their services

Since the Foundation’s first grants as an independent charity in 2005, it has awarded more than $103 million to support the best in pediatric oncology research, making St. Baldrick’s the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants.
