Our Duties to the Environment What Has Posterity Ever done for Me? — Robert Heilbroner •

To the question of why we should care about future generations, there is no rational answer.

Our Duties to the Environment The Tragedy of the Commons—Garrett Hardin 

Our Duties to the Environment People or Penguins: The Case for Optimal Pollution —William F. Baxter 

To ensure benefits to humans, we should be willing to allow pollution where it harms animals and trees.

Every human being should be regarded as an end.

We need not respect the balance of nature.

Our Duties to the Environment People or Penguins: The Case for Optimal Pollution —William F. Baxter •
