Union Christian Academy Fall Consignment Sale 2015

How the Sale Works: For those of you who have never participated or even heard of a consignment sale, you are really in for a treat! If you are a stay at home Mom or are just on a budget, like most of us, you can now afford the latest brand name trendy outfits. We accept only the best! At our sale, you, as a seller, decide how much you want to sell your items for, tag them and bring them to us to sell for you. As a good rule of thumb, prices are generally 1/3 of the original price depending on the condition of the item. You, as a seller, receives 70% of the selling price and Union Christian Academy will receive 30%. Anyone can sell with us! Have you ever tried selling your items at a garage sale only to “give away” your gently worn clothes? Did you sit outside for 2 days only to have a handful of people show up? Our Consignment Sale saves you the hassle and allows you to sell your items for more than you would normally get at a garage sale. At the same time, you can come to our sale and expect to buy much needed gently used items and pay only a fraction of the price. All you have to do is register online, pay your $5.00 participation fee, get your code and tag your items with card stock paper. Don’t forget to mark your tags with ½ off or no ½ off for Saturday shoppers. We do ask that you organize your clothing by gender and size. This will make it easier at drop off to place the items on the sales floor. ***If you have sold at a previous consignment sale and desire to use the same code, please let us know at registration. This will save you some time in tagging your items.

We will do everything in our power to make this happen for you in order to make your life a little bit easier. Please invite your friends and family to consign with us. The more consigners, the more we can shop!

It is the consigners responsibility to check your items carefully. . . consigners with excessive stains, holes, etc. will NOT be allowed to consign in future. (This is not the Drop off Checker’s Responsibility). At Drop off – You are required to place all your items on the racks in size order after the volunteers check for stains, spots, tags, and season appropriateness. It makes it easier if your items are already grouped by gender, size, and- then by shirts, dresses, pants, and outfits. Make sure you have already tagged and placed your clothing on hangers before coming to drop off. Shoes must be checked by the stain checkers before being put on the sales floor. If you are picking up your unsold items, you must leave a plastic bin (NO lids) at Drop Off with your ID Code written on it. We will put your unsold items in your bin and have them ready for you to pick up on Saturday. CONSIGNER CHECK IN INFORMATION: A. CLOTHING NEEDS TO BE SORTED BY GENDER THEN SIZE, BEFORE CHECKIN. There is not enough time to sort at drop-off. Use twist ties or cable ties or garbage bags around clothes of the same size. This helps so much at check-in to speed things up. Also, if you bring your children to check in please keep them with you at all times. No browsing during drop-off please we will be working at a fast pace to be getting all the items on the floor. B. VERY IMPORTANT- Make sure to bring a self-addressed stamped envelope at your drop-off appt. This is how we get your check back to you. Write your address as both addressee & return address; include CONSIGNER CODE in bottom corner. You will exchange this for your ticket into the preview sale. Use a 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 legal size envelope so checks are not late arriving to you. There will be a $1.00 charge to those without an envelope and stamp. We will do our very best to have your check mailed out within 1 week of the sale. PICK UP - Unsold items must be picked up on Saturday between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. Unsold items not picked up by 5:00pm will become property of "Union Christian Academy” and donated to the charity of our choice. The charity will be at the School at 5:00pm to load the donations onto their truck that same night. There will be NO way to retrieve your items after the 5:00pm deadline. You will need to make arrangements ahead of time for someone else to pick up your items for you if you are unable. If you agree at DROP OFF to pick up your items and DO NOT SHOW, OR LEAVE BEHIND UNWANTED ITEMS you will be charged a $20 FEE which will be deducted from your check to dispose of your items. Any unsold items not picked up by 5:00 p.m. become the property of the consignment committee.
