• Focus testing • The revised Child Health Record now better meets the needs of parents and practitioners and reflects the changes to the Maternal and Child Health service implemented in 2009 through the revised Key Ages and Stages Framework.
The objectives of the CHR
In consultation with key stakeholders, the following objectives were defined:

Paper-based, parent-held record of their child’s health, growth and development • Prompt for parents to attend maternal and child health visits and ask key health, growth and development questions at those visits • A device that facilitates key child health and development education and promotion

• A document that complements and aligns with the Service’s clinical practice, including the revised KAS Framework

Method of facilitating communication between parents, health professionals and other service providers.
These objectives informed the development of the revised CHR.
