Research Proposal

Steffen Guenzel

SP 2013

Question 1. 1. Is there a relationship between the fact that athletes underestimate the importance of nutrition and the fact that a nutrition plan can be costly? 2. Is misinformation the actual reason why nutrition is often overlooked by people who seek to attain personal physical objectives? 3. Should healthy food companies invest more in advertisement in order to sensitize people about the importance of taking care of their body?

Question 2. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Health Nutrition Athlete Physical activity Nutrients

Question 3. 1. Library research: - Look for scientific researches about nutrients, Look for researches about the human body, look for researches on how the human body reacts to a physical effort, look for researches on athletes’ diets. 2. Internet research: - Find insights on athletes’ nutrition plan, find graphs that will demonstrate the importance of feeding the human body with specific nutrients. 3. Field Search: Possible interviews with fellow athletes here at UCF to learn about daily routines. Gathering data/information that the athletic department may already have on nutrition for athletes. Question 4. ****** I have highlighted the important dates in this planning. All of the highlighted dates below consist of important “due dates” of the research paper. ****** Fortunately, I will not be missing any school for golf this semester since I am a Red Shirt (not competing this semester). All my time outside of regular practice hours is dedicated to school.
