Nexans opens its first plant in Russia Nexans held a grand opening ceremony on November 20 to mark the official launch of production at its Ouglich plant in Yaroslavl Oblast, Russian Federation. The new plant is Nexans’ first manufacturing facility in Russia, and represents, with an amount of 35 million Euros, the first major investment by a non-Russian cable manufacturer in the country. 180 jobs are being created in the Yaroslav region thanks to the opening of this plant. Many operators have attended training courses in other factories of the Nexans group. The company has operated in the Russian market for more than a decade, with involvement in largescale national projects. For instance, during the last few years, Nexans cables have been installed at Zhiguli hydropower plant, on the offshore oil platform of Prirazlomnoe, as well as at the Baikonur space launch pad. The first important High Voltage underground cable projects rated up to 500 kV in Moscow and St. Petersburg were accomplished due to the major contribution made by Nexans cables and cable laying technology.

US still largest producer of industrial machines in 2006 According to the latest statistics from IMS Research, the United States retained its lead as the world’s largest producer of industrial machines in 2006, with $122 billion worth of production. This lead is narrowing, however. Germany was second with $119 billion, followed closely by Japan with $110 billion. This may be changing with the weakening of the dollar since 2006. The fastest growing region has been China. Its industrial machinery production has averaged 23% annual growth since 2002, driving it past Italy and France to take the fourth position. According to IMS Research analyst Steve Odom, “China is in another league of machinery production growth rates. The good news for other regions is that this growth seems now less about industries and plants migrating from higher cost regions to China. Rather, the growth now seems a net positive for other regions. China’s domestic growth is so strong; it is requiring industrial machine imports to fuel this growth. Demand from China has made worldwide growth in industrial machines very broad based.”

Sensor Signal Amplifier for strain gage or temp. measurement The flexible sensor signal amplifier for strain gage or temperature measurement applications is based on a flexible PCB and allows applications in narrowed installations. The RMC technique for programming online gain and zero point has a resolution of 16 Bit and is stored in a non-volatile memory on the rotor. There is no need to solder miniature resistors for conditioning the amplifier. For documentation all conditioning data as well as the serial number can be readout. Also additional information about the type of the sensor and calibration data can be stored on the rotor. The sensor signal amplifier can be wound round the shaft. Its thickness of 2.8mm including the sealing is remarkable. Due to the new kind of installation elegant solutions in narrowed surroundings are possible. Typical applications are the input shaft of the gear, at the universal shaft, strain measurement at small toothed wheel and the turbo-charger. The new range of switch and sensor products for the OEM lock and security systems market enables systems designers to increase the effectiveness of entry/lock systems by incorporating the latest in electromechanical components into their new products. Many systems now use motorised and solenoid locks, electric strikes and magnets for door locking. The zwicki-Line universal testing machines are available in four load capacities (500N, 1kN, and 2.5kN, and a new 5kN model) and three different height combinations to suit most applications and laboratory requirements for testing materials and components. These new products are now fitted with latest testControl system and are designed to meet the diverse needs of both Research and Development laboratories and quality assurance environments. Depending on the model, test and crosshead positioning speeds up to 3000mm/min enable high speed tests or short cycle times, such as the testing of elastomers and springs. The environment system speeds up testing by recording all important machine data including the current crosshead position and limit switch positions - even if the machine is switched off. This eliminates much of the setting up time encountered with traditional systems.

The MT-PI-17S series installation modular electromagnetic relays come with 1 or 2 NO contacts. There is couple of versions available depending on rated voltage: AC/DC - 12, 48, 115 V, AC/DC 24V (terminals A1, A2 ) + AC- 230 V ( terminals A1 and A3). Relay contacts are designed to bear high loads. Versions with 1NO contact are able to switch up to 16A / 250V in AC1 category and versions with 2No contacts - up to 8A /250 V in AC1 category. All of these relays are equipped with green LED diode signalizing the voltage applied to input terminals A1 : A2.

The ENDA EC762F is a programmable electronic up/down counter based on a microcontroller with two relay outputs. The values are viewed on a 2x6 digit display. Selecting the type of counting (up or down), input and output types, sensor types (PNP, NPN, Encoder) control output time, input frequency, functional reset input and parameter access protection on 3 levels is made easy via the front panel keypad. With batch counter and total counter functions EC762F fulfils almost all application requirements. The preset value, set value batch and total counter value are visualized on 2x6 digit display depending on the selected configuration. To provide environmentally safe products to the world, the company applied RoHs standards.

The new XCOM-System terminal block provides twice the connection possibilities for two conductors and two plugs. Even the longer-established, "singledeck" 769-171 version offers a lot in a small space: connections for two conductors and two sockets for X-COM plugs provide many combinations for potential multiplication. The new 870-131 Terminal Block offers precisely twice the opportunities. Nevertheless, thanks to its double-deck design, it requires only 132 mm across the carrier rail. Staggered sockets are suitable for 1-conductor female plugs. Naturally there are also slots for jumpers. They are in the same position as on other X-COM double-deck terminal blocks so they can be connected with these via adjacent jumpers.

The Sineax CAM is an universal series transducer for heavy current variables. It is designed for measurements in electric distribution systems or in industrial facilities. Its modular design allows it to be adjusted to individual applications and information requirements in an optimum fashion. The high-performance measuring system is capable of determining the current network state, additional load by non-linear consumers as well as the overall load of the supply system. Consistent measurement also guarantees that every network change is reliably acquired and included in measured data and extreme value storage. The basic accuracy amounts to 0.1% (U, I) or 0.2% for other variables. The programmable acquisition period and the high sampling rate make the device also suitable for the acquisition of special input signals with variable sampling intervals (e.g. zero-crossing controls), altered sine shapes (e.g. phase-angle controls) or strong distortions.

The CoroMill 690 long edge cutter is designed specifically to give high productivity when peripheral edge milling titanium. It is suitable for aerospace milling applications for structural parts such as airframes, wings, fuselages and landing gears. Additional applications include circular interpolation from a pre-drilled hole, edging, contouring and repeated square-shoulder milling. The cutter utilises four edged inserts for economic 2-D profile operations. Inserts are available in grades GC1030 or GC2040 and SL geometry. The inserts are securely held by unique iLock interface providing consistent accurate milling. This interface also provides excellent axial support to prevent insert breakages on the bottom row. The CoroMill 690 has a Coromant Capto design that provides users additional stability and shank clearance, essential when machining long overhangs and reaches. The cutter is available in diameters of 50 to 100mm.

The PicoDot jet dispensing system is a non-contact dispensing system that uses piezoelectric technology to apply small, precise amounts of a wide variety of fluids. With the ability to apply consistent shots as small as 2 nanoliters at speeds up to 150 dots per second, the system is suitable for high-speed, high volume applications that require many small, precise fluid deposits. The narrow design of the valves, with a width of approximately fi inch, makes them particularly well suited for installations where space is tight or valves need to be mounted close to each other. Because the valve nozzle does not contact the substrate, the Pico Dot is also a good choice for applications where controlled amounts of fluid must be applied on surfaces that are not perfectly flat, such as printed circuit boards. The integrated Control and Protective Switching Device (CPS) integrates breaker, fuse, contactor, over-load (over current, phase failure) protection relay, starter and isolator into one module. The main improvement in the new 90° housing version of the pilot is a remarkable reduction in the camera depth. The total depth of the camera body, including the lens mount, is less than 42 millimeters. The pilot 90° has its connectors at the bottom of the camera. Many other small footprint cameras have their connectors at the rear of the camera, which expands their total depth by 20 to 30 millimeters. Taking all of this into account, the pilot fits better in many applications. The cameras with the new housing have the same features as the standard housing pilot cameras. The uncompromisingly high pilot image quality and speed, compared to other small housing cameras in the market, were also transferred to the 90deg models.

The KRP+ gear offers rigidity characteristics, in particular through the onepiece output pinion technology. It provides radial rigidity (accounting for up to 60% of overall rigidity). Clamping Force Sensor for cable car and ski lift The force sensors enable the check and control the clamping force of cabin on ropeway as well as emergency brake forces. The ST680 series of handheld infrared thermometers provide users with a wide range of features, including adjustable emissivity, a 10 point memory and adjustable high and low audible alarms. There are currently two models to choose from, the ST688 and ST689. Both units are capable of measuring temperatures from -50 to 1000°C with 0.1°C resolution. They also offer an outstanding 50:1 field of view, which allows a very small area to measured; typically 20mm diameter at 1m distance. The built-in laser sighting makes targeting simple. Readings can be taken in °C or °F, and by scrolling through the display menu, it is possible to read the instantaneous, maximum, minimum, average and differential temperatures. Fluorescent light fittings and switches enable safe paint production A range of explosion-proof electrical equipment, including light fittings and isolator switches manufactured by Cooper Crouse-Hinds (CEAG), are helping to ensure the safe production of paint and powder coatings at a UK-based manufacturing plant.

Based in Manchester, HMG Paints manufactures a range of paints and powder coatings for a variety of different applications, including commercial transport, automotive, general industrial and the marine sector. The company’s products can be seen in many popular locations throughout the world, such as Disneyland Europe and the Jodrell Bank telescope and have also been used on P&O cruise ships and Grand Prix racing cars. David McDonald, Maintenance Manager at HMG Paints comments: “I’ve worked at HMG Paints for more than 18 years now. Over the last five years, I’ve purchased around 200 fluorescent light fittings and approximately 15 isolator switches from Cooper Crouse-Hinds. The light fittings and switches have been very reliable. They are very well designed, enabling us to install and replace units very quickly.” Production of paint and powder coatings is potentially a hazardous environment and so safety of HMG Paints’ employees is critical. Therefore, all electrical equipment installed in these hazardous areas at the site is ATEXcertified to the required Zone. According to McDonald, 99 per cent of fluorescent light fittings installed at the site are located in potentially explosive gas atmospheres. The use of powder pigments in the production of coatings means that some electrical

equipment needs to be protected from dust, as well as paint fumes and vapours. McDonald says there are approximately 350 original simplex light fittings across five buildings at the HMG Paints site in Manchester. “These lighting units are becoming less reliable but very time-consuming to service and maintain. It took me the best part of a day to service one of the original simplex lights because I had to disassemble the whole unit in order to fix a specific tube fault. We therefore decided to gradually replace all the lights with new twin five-foot versions,” he adds. In his efforts to source replacement light fittings, McDonald was assisted by Mark Lees, Sales Engineer at local electrical distributor Cable Systems Ltd based in Warrington. As Lees states: “We’ve supplied CEAG explosion proof lighting and switchgear products to our customers for more than five years. We know HMG Paints very well and have developed a close working relationship over the last five years.” HMG Paints has now installed more than two hundred eLLK 92 fluorescent light fittings from CEAG across two buildings at its Manchester site, and some units have also been installed at the company’s warehouse in Scarborough. The CEAG eLLK 92 light fittings are available for ATEX Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 hazardous areas. The lighting units come in 2, 4 or 5 feet lengths, with twin lights. HMG Paints has installed the five-feet versions. The lighting units are designed with a glass fibre-reinforced plastic enclosure and a polycarbonate protective bowl. The units are protected to IP66 (EN 60529). Permissible ambient temperatures are from –20°C up to +50°C.

“Since installing CEAG light fittings, we’ve saved valuable maintenance time and resources,” he continues. “It’s very easy to install the CEAG lighting units and there’s so much room inside because the design is first class. And, because the units are wiredthrough, it’s very fast and easy to connect rows of lights in the factory. I estimate that HMG Paints has saved 50 per cent on installation times by using the CEAG product. In addition, whilst the original light fittings took hours to install or replace, the CEAG units take just 20 minutes.” As well as fluorescent light fittings, HMG Paints has also installed around 30 CEAG isolator switches, several of these custom-designed. The switches are used on various types of drives and electric motors around the site. The switches are used to isolate the motors and to trip the units if they become overloaded. Again, all CEAG switches were purchased through Cable Systems Ltd. In addition to supplying systems and components certified for ATEX environments, Cooper CrouseHinds also offers hazardous area equipment to IEC and NEC standards, as well as other international approvals for Eastern Europe, China and North America.

“The CEAG light fittings are great to work with. For example, our maintenance technicians can now individually isolate each unit quickly and easily. The eLLK 92 is around a third of the weight of the original

Employees who use the lockouttagout safety procedure can lock multiple padlocks onto the scissor hasp to secure dangerous machinery, preventing anyone powering up the machine while personnel are inside. The MC4 is a new compact-sized documenting process calibrator. Being a multifunction calibrator, it is suitable for calibrating various process parameters, such as pressure, temperature and electrical signals. As it is a documenting calibrator, calibration results are automatically stored in the memory. In addition, instrument data can be sent from computer to the device and calibration results can be uploaded from the device to a computer using CMX Calibration Software. With the MC4, making automated and documented calibrations of process instruments is fast and easy. Using the calibrator together with calibration software provides a complete documenting calibration system that produces calibration certificates automatically. There's no need for using pen and paper for producing calibration documentation and instructions at any point of the calibration process.

The rugged, inline, infrared thermal imaging camera provides temperature images and profiles of a target area. Included as standard is free software that enables users to both configure all the adjustable parameters of the PI and capture (at 100Hz full frame rate) and store images or an event for play back at a later date - an important feature for R&D purposes. The system of recording series FT-105/RF use the transmission radio for sending the data, through a receiving module, directly to the PC. The computer memorizes the data and compares them with the thresholds of alarm programmed and the user tells in the case there is of the possible exceed. The new TAIS TRE series of distribution boards in thermosetting material has been created to resist to high temperatures. The special resin of this material does not burn, it does not give out toxic smokes and, in case of short-circuit, it does not spread fire outside the board. Besides being fireproof, it is also water-repellent; in fact, this material ensures high resistance to humidity and water aggression. The large-size rotary couplings are specially designed for drill rigs mainly operating on petrol exploitation equipment. The rotary couplings consist of two cylindrical metal parts, one inside the other, where grooved channels allow fluid flow between the fixed and the rotating part, so that for instance the hydraulic oil supplied by a pump installed on the fixed frame of the machine, can be conducted to the rotating drilling device. In order to allow very compact design of the drilling tools, the rotary couplings have a central through-bore of 200 or more mm diameter, for the allocation of the tool or for the passage of large pipes or hoses. While drilling, rotary speed can be up to 25 rpm with channels up to 150 bar fluid pressure, and up to 15 rpm with fluid pressure up to 400 bar. When the drilling tool is returning back, no pressure is applied to it, but the rotary coupling must allow up to 100 rpm rotational speed.

The MLR series high pressure pumps are made in spheroidal cast iron and high resistant steel, was expressly born to provide user with high performances in complete safety. With its 160hp and the two available gearbox sizes, 1500rpm and 1800rpm, MLR Series represents an A-Class instrument for all those who have to work employing big jetting drain, sewer cleaning equipments and industrial big washing plants. Wide pressure and flow ranges (form 145 to 250 bar, and 250 / 420 liters) allow this product to supply a noticeable energetic increment to water. Its alternatively sliding pistons as the whole gear, can be operated through an electric or hydraulic motor or by combustion engine.

These level transmitters feature a sensitive electrode in stainless steel covered by PTFE, the length of which can be customised according to the application request. Thanks to their integrated electronics, they do not require a separate amplifier unit. The body withstands high pressure and high temperature. The electronics converts the physical level of the material to be measured in a standard 4÷20mA analogue current signal, proportional to the level. The electric configuration is two wires, with precision better than 0.5% f.s., after calibration. The output analogue signal can be sent remotely by means of modem or GSM or GPRS. The transmitters are very reliable having no moving parts, and are usually used to keep constant a material level, within a PID regulation loop. The applications are for steam boilers, food industry, water treatment, pharmaceutical plants, cereal silos, diesel fuel monitoring in ground tank, or in moving trucks.

The SG4-B SAFEasy safety light curtains enlarges the existing range of SG light curtains and represents an evolution of the SE4 PLUS line, offering a Type 4 safety device for hand protection with base functions. The new light curtains are ideal for applications that do not require complementary functions such as muting, cascade and blanking. The SG4-B series has been developed especially to ease: installation (new TOP-BOTTOM rotating fixing brackets to ease alignment), connection (use of standard connectors, no connection between the emitter and receiver units), configuration (no external control units and/or supplementary cables necessary), use (alignment guided by the double display present on both units). The response times and operating distances have been improved with respect to the SE4 PLUS series, positioning the lights curtains at the top of the market.

The protection of cylindrical devices has a simple solution - the installation of a bellows. The bellows is suitable for the versatility of use, being flexible and having an extended length. To meet all these problems the bellows are composed of three parts: a central bellows and two "caps" at the ends. The bellows fit the caps perfectly without using glue or straps, caps are pierced to fit the diameter of the machine. The real revolution of this solution is that all the pieces of KIT are ready in stock, and the holes on the caps are made just before the dispatch, with the desired diameter: The result is to receive a bellows "designed" without investments for moulds. Moreover with this solution it's possible to connect the bellows with specific joints, to reach any desired length. These bellows are made with sought materials as: Coloured silicone, food-grade silicone, high temperature elastomers, and NBR oil resistant rubber.

It measures diameter and roundness, run-out, edge position, taper, grooves or peak diameter, gap between parts and more. Based on a xactum high speed, high accuracy Laser micrometer, it uses a PC with integrated touch sensitive 15" TFT screen to provide an extremely friendly interface to the user.

The electronic transfer TE2A-V2-450 (in 3 different standard versions: 600, 700 and 1000) for the transport of pieces of small or medium dimensions for transfer dies. Peculiar characteristic of this line of machines is the versatility. This transfer is provided with electronic continuous setup of the opening of the bars up to 1,000mm. The close-coupled horizontal pumps model OMA permit the transfer, re-circulation and distribution of corrosive media contained within storage tanks, process vats and the loading-unloading of tankers. These pumps are corrosion resistant. A high level of safety, resistance to chemical corrosion and long lasting functioning are guaranteed by the reduced size, ease of use and maintenance, the shaft being directly keyed to the motor shaft and the mechanical seal. These pumps are equipped with mechanical seal single, balanced, internal cartridge seal, for maximum cooling of the sliding parts. The seal is made up of three single elements: a static ring with seal, a dynamic ring with bellows and a single spring housed between the rotating ring and the shank of the impeller. These anti-corrosion pumps can be supplied with base plate, trolley or assembled with priming chamber.

The T-POD121 is an industrial monitor 19", 6U height (266 mm) and 64 mm thickness. In such a small space there is a TFT 12,1" display, an alphanumeric membrane keyboard and another membrane keyboard with 20 function key. A touch pad is available on the right side angle of the T-POD-121, and, behind it you can find the On/Off switch, and a USB connector. The touch screen is available as an option. Apart from the classical colours (white, black and grey), it is now available also in the pearly grey version with alphanumeric membrane keyboard and soft coloured function buttons, especially suitable for applications to place in sophisticated and fashion environments. Further personalisations of the panel (about design or features) are possible also for small quantities.

The PATI-F-Line is the range of films, flexible tubes and tapes produced from the main thermoplastic fluoropolymers available, such as ETFE, FEP, THV with quality and reliability levels increased. An advanced cast line, designed in order to meet the most stringent specifications, has been added to the existing blow extrusion units and it allows producing 2000mm wide films with a very sophisticated thickness control in the range from 12 to 300 micron. The very narrow tolerances and the use of raw materials free from PFOA, a recent technical improvement of Dyneon, are making easier and safer the further processing by converters and end users in the fields of architectural applications, solar energy, greenhouses covering, aerospace and automotive composite materials, special cables and flexible hoses.

The economic CNC controller Power E is suitable to manage machines up to 4 axis where an ISO programming is necessary. It is available with LCD display 6,5", 8,4" and 10" with or without touch screen. It can manage up to 58 digital I/O, plus 12 analogue inputs on board and can be expanded through fieldbus CANopen and EtherCAT. It is also possible to remote the LCD display, maximum 10 mt, to allow installation on travelling platforms (10" panel version) or on a strong case in ABS, impact resistant (8.4 mobile version) with emergency button and dead-man-dead button. For the touch screen versions a functions library is available which simplifies the use and makes easy programming. In any case, in order to respect laws on safety, all keys which can activate axis motion, are present on the keyboard. On the controller, there is also a USB port to import and export files. Drivers can interface in +/10V., PWM, Step/Direction or through fieldbus using DS402 profile for interpolated axis control.

The Grommets are used whenever there is a hole on a structure and a cable is crossing it. Grommets protect the cable from rough and cutting edges and at the same time give an aesthetic aspect to any installation. Grommets are mainly made in 3 different materials: rubber (natural rubber and Neoprene), PVC and TPE. Grommets made in Neoprene are very flexible and have a very good resistance to ageing, ozone, petrols. Grommets made in flexible PVC have a particular good and shiny surface finish and are dimensionally inert; they are flame ratardant (UL94-HB/V2), don't break at low or high temperature (-40 to 70°C), resist to many liquids, ozone and UV and have a very good resistance to ageing. Grommets made in TPE have exceptional properties since TPE is a high quality material which is similar to rubber and is recommended where resistance to low and high temperature (-50 to 125°C) and great flexibility and elasticity are requested.

Up to 2,500mm long shafts or vessels can be hardened, carburized of carbonitrided in this extremely precise (± 5°C) big protective atmosphere vertical furnace. A dedicated polymer quenching tank with a 12,0000 liters/min recirculation, a special semi-automatic loading-unloading system and a PCbased supervising program complete the installation. All of the products, big or small, serial or special, manually or computer operated, are designed, sold, manufactured, and commissioned completely and directly by the manufacturer.

The increasing demand for pressure regulators has pushed us to develop this new range of pressure micro-regulators directly assembled on the valve outlet ports, or by means of fixing nuts. The swivel techno-polymer fitting improves the aesthetics and allows tube connections of 4, 6 and 8 mm. Such micro-regulators are designed with a by-pass valve allowing a fast air exhaust through the unit.

The RP400 PWM / VFM Step up DC/DC Converter is a smart device powered from one or two alkaline, one or two NiMH batteries or a single Li-Ion / LiPolymer battery. It keeps the supply voltage at a stable level even though the battery voltage decreases over time. It offers a space saving solution, requiring only a few small external components thanks to the build-in driver transistor and high operating frequency. The RP400 is a successor for earlier launched products such as the R1210. Efficiency and output power have significantly improved as the output ripple voltage and the output regulation show better results. Due to the automatic switchover circuit, the RP400 changes its operating mode between PWM and VFM depending on the output current demand and keeps the efficiency high at low and high output current. Target applications for the converter are battery powered portable applications.

The sculptured baton-style body of the B15 tool provides better handling, high durability and resistance to wear and damage. Designed for comfortable onehanded operation, it is well balanced for greater control; with the head that rotates though 340° for assured handling in confined spaces, it offers 15 kN force for crimping end sleeves up to 35 mm2 and copper lug, splices and insulated terminals up to 16 mm2. Along with an integral maximum pressure valve, the tool features automatic return of jaws after completion of the crimp, which can be stopped at any time to ease positioning. B15 is powered by 9.6V 2.0Ah Ni-MH battery for improved environmental compatibility and feature a battery condition display to indicate residual battery power after every crimp or battery change; it is extremely quiet with minimal vibration. The FirePort is the first device server solution that goes beyond simple network connectivity to deliver an enterprise grade, service oriented, programmable device computing and networking platform. This embedded processor module builds on our proven Ethernet control technology. It enables device manufactures and IT system integrators to add the highest versatile and agile IT control component into their projects. The benefits of integrating networked devices into traditional corporate or enterprise network are tremendous. A unified corporate network reduces operations costs by more effectively leveraging IT investments. Additionally, this integration differentiates a company's product or service with increased or added value and helps facilitate opportunities such as: asset tracking, workflow improvement/monitoring/reporting, pro-active maintenance services and pre-emptive diagnosis and fulfillment services. The FirePort provides the high level of security.

The Varan PVAI 011 measuring bridge module is used for precision measurements in hard real-time. With a 12-bit resolution, measurement values from scales, force, pressure, acceleration, torque and temperature sensors are transmitted within a few µs. The IP65 protected measurement value converter can be placed directly in the field level near the sensor, eliminating the effects of electrical noise on measurements. Due to the short length of frames, data can be resent within the same bus cycle in the event of an error. The robust bus system makes it possible to implement highly dynamic regulation with deterministic properties. The user is thus provided with a safe and complete system for fast precision measurements. The power for the electronics and sensors is supplied over the 8-pin M12 connector (2 reserve pins) with the corresponding hybrid cable, which was designed for harsh industrial conditions. Since only one connector is required for power and bus signal transmission, connection errors are eliminated.

The new GEL 6111 intelligent positioning drive from the Motionline range is based on a PowerPC processor and VxWorks and is immediately available with CANopen, PROFIBUS DP and Ethernet. The necessary plug connectors are implemented via modules, which are connected to the main board via corresponding connectors. Preparations for further interfaces are underway. The positioning drive was designed for format adjustments in machines that have to be adjusted to new formats during a product switch. The GEL 6111 offers numerous functions to support the user when adjusting formats. If machines are modernized or auto-mated it has the same functions that are available in the original machines.

The digital pressure gauges incorporate v a l u e added features to advance the way you monitor pressure. Attributes such as a backlit LCD, selectable engineering units and min/max recall provide capabilities that once required several different instruments to achieve. The gauges are available in variety of sizes, accuracies and price ranges to suit a broad spectrum of applications. The commercial Type D1005PS is a 2 1/2" gauge with ±0.5%FS accuracy, while the industrial Types 2074, 2174 and 2274 3" and 4 1/2" gauges are rated at ±0.25%FS and are available with 4-20 mA output and on-board SPDT switches. The 3" Type 2089 test gauge tops off the line with an accuracy of ±0.05%FS and a five full-digit display.

The Spatter-Mat is specifically designed for MMA/MIG/ TIG and Resistance Welding operations having a formulated rubber surface with a high melt point of around 140°C enabling it to repel any spatter and other hot metals, whilst its Nitricell sponge base is a PVC/Nitrile rubber blend base aids the operator in that it helps to relieve leg and back stress caused by standing for long periods when welding. It can also minimise overall body fatigue thereby improving the working environment for the welder and they can absorb any vibrations that can be an irritant over long periods. These mats are approximately 13mm thick and are available as 609mm x 914mm and 914mm x 1524mm mats, with custom sizes up to 22.8m long to meet specific customer requirements The mats are provided with bevelled edges for safety and the pebbled surface provides the operator with good traction in the working area.
