JUPAS • The Main route of application designed to assist students with HKDSE results to apply for admission to: Full-time Bachelor Degree courses offered by

Full-time Associate degree courses offered by CityU Full-time Higher Diploma courses offered by HKIEd & PolyU “Submit only ONE application for ALL of the above programmes!!”

About JUPAS

How JUPAS works? 1. Each of your selected programmes will give you a “Rating” in accordance with its criteria for selection, given by the participating institutes.

How JUPAS works? 3. The computer system will match (the "iteration process") the order of preference you have assigned to the study programmes of your choice with the position you have been placed in each merit order list of these programmes.

FAQ concerning JUPAS Q) HKDSE results = the only factors that determine if applicants will be accepted? • NO! • The assessment weighting for HKDSE subjects varies with programmes. For programmes with HKDSE subjects indicated in the entrance requirements, the required/preferred subjects probably carry more weight.

• For applicants who have fulfilled the minimum entrance requirements, admission scores will be calculated for the selection of applicants. • For students with the same score, reference will be made to other information (eg. English results, results in discipline-related subjects, band, interview performance, OEA). • No bonus points will be given to students who have taken more electives.

Scoring system OUHK: • To be eligible to apply for admission to Bachelor of Nursing with Honours in General/Mental Health Care programme, the elective subject should preferably be a science subject, i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Science or Integrated Science.
