FLORENCE  BIENNALE  GOES  FURTHER:  CAVAGLIERI,  ELHANANI  AND  STEINBERG   AT  ENTE  CASSA  DI  RISPARMIO  DI  FIRENZE

Closed  the  IX  edition  in  Fortezza  da  Basso,  contemporary  art  is  again  protagonist  in  Florence   with  the  collective  show  TRE  VOCI  PITTORICHE  NEL  MONDO  (Three  pictorial  voices  in  the  world)   6,  via  Bufalini   From  February  8th  to  24th  2014

Three  artists,  three  generations,  three  styles:  it’s  called  TRE  VOCI  PITTORICHE  NEL  MONDO  (Three   pictorial   voices   in   the   world)   the   collective   show   realized   by   Florence   Biennale   in   partnership   with   Ente   Cassa   di   Risparmio   di   Firenze,   which   will   be   hosted   in   the   historical   head   office   of   the   Foundation  in  Florence  (6,  via  Bufalini),  from  Febraury  8th  to  24th  (free  admittance,  vernissage  on   Saturday  8th  at  6  p.m.).       Mario   Cavaglieri,   Odelia   Elhanani   and   Marsha   Steinberg   create   a   pictorial   comparison   from   an   horizon   to   another.   From   Italy   to   France   and   Europe   for   the   first   one,   from   Usa   to   Italy   for   Steinberg,   from   here   to   Israel   and   Mediterranean   Sea   in   Elhanani’s   case.   Three   glances,   three   landmarks   in   the   world,   which   represent   the   entire   world,   in   close   relation   with   the   IX   edition   theme  of  Florence  Biennale:  Ethics,  DNA  of  Art.       The  exhibit,  with  an  introduction  of  Florence  Biennale  Artistic  Director  Rolando  Bellini  and  Maria   Cristina  Monti  Foti,  cured  by  Lilia  Lamas,  Panayotis  Kantzas  and  Melanie  Zefferino,  counts  10  and   more  works  per  artist,  making  a  dialogue  between  expressionism,  figurative  and  abstract.       The  show  represents  the  natural  prosecution  of  IX  Florence  Biennale  as  one  of  Events  in  the  Event   which  involved  so  far  the  entire  city  of  Florence  and  its  symbolic  places.  This  exhibition,  with  the   Under   30   Festival   which   will   take   place   next   month   at   the   ex   city   jail   Murate,   represents   the   consumptive   moment,   so   it   assumes   a   symbolic   value,   resuming   cultural   horizons   and   artistic   issues  lived  by  Biennale.       TRE   VOCI   PITTORICHE   NEL   MONDO   is   realized   in   partnership   with   Ente   Cassa   di   Risparmio   di   Firenze   and   Associazione   Italia   Israele,   Ambasciata   d’Israele   (Rome),   LINEA   Spazio   Arte   Contemporanea   and   Collezione   Busi.   Florence   Biennale   and   Events   in   the   Event   have   the   patronage   of   Ministero   dei   Beni   Culturali   e   del   Turismo,   Regione   Toscana,   Provincia   di   Firenze   e   Comune  di  Firenze.       Artists’  bio  below
