WE CAN DO IT! We Can Make a Difference in Our Community! Annual Giving and Endowment 2012 - 2013

What is Annual Giving and Endowment?

 Annual Giving - Engage sustainers and active members toward annual projects and objectives.  Endowment – Interest on funds is used to supplement operating budget.  Your donations allow us to continue our work with Bloom Boutique, Noogiefest, Urban Garden, and other important initiatives.

Ways to Donate  Online – link on your home page  Tonight with check or credit card  Remember – a $100 donation fills one of your fundraising credits!

Goals

 Last year we raised just over $15,000, with around 40% of the league participating.  This year, our goal is $20,000 with an increase in members participating!  We have 100% Board participation!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Five Categories of Success Trips and Travel  Dining Experiences  One-of-a-Kind  Wine/Spirits  Boys Toys 

Categories to Avoid 

Jewelry, Furniture, Artwork 

 

Bring in items with broad appeal Be cautious of business services 

 

The stats do not support jewelry, most 30-60% yield. These are all subjective categories

Attorneys services, doctor, dentists, professional services. Services don't sell well

Home decor, clothing Electronics are great and you can use them in a raffle, but they need to be cutting edge.

NEW! Themed Baskets 

Why do people give?   

 

People give because they are asked. Because the right person asks….warm connection, feel accountable to the person. They won't tell you no. Peer Pressure, some people give because they know their peers give. Guilt Because some people care about what is going on in their community
