What do we do Now????  Planning is vital to the success of your campus.  If a child’s basic needs are not met he or she

cannot learn  No matter what the persons title is on your campus, he or she must have a heart for children and people in general  Children will do exactly what you expect them to do. Set the bar high! Our district has adopted Dennis Mitchell’s “The Do’s and Don’ts of Discipline.”

Discipline Plan and Keys to Success  One person in charge of

discipline on the campus  Focused- you must have a

plan in order to know where the ship is headed  Firm – Expectations must

be clear and consistent throughout the entire school.

 Fair – all students have to

be treated the same . Consistency across all levels of discipline is possibly the most important of all factors  Follow Through – Stick to

the plan. Once a punishment has been handed out it must be administered.
