Tubes and pipes are fundamentally different because tubes are never threaded at the end to establish a connection. If you want to connect a piece of tubing to another tubing or a portion of the pipe, you'll need a tube fitting to do so instead (such as an instrument). Tubes, in contrast to lines, have a thin wall thickness.
